If you own a residential, commercial, or industrial piece of real estate in the Pasadena, Texas area and are currently facing a major repair to the sewer system than we have some good news for you. Trenchless sewer lining is a relatively new process that relies on technology as opposed to excavation. The procedure has actually been available for approximately the last fifteen years, however far too many property owners have yet to hear of it. That is due to the fact that the plumbing industry as a whole is extremely slow at adopting new technology.
Plumbing contractors have been taking part in the traditional excavation method since the days before heavy-duty equipment was used to dig the holes. Most have been apprehensive about switching from a process that has worked well for so long. Others simply do not have the capital to invest in the new equipment and training that is required to make the change. A few pluming contractors, like Sewer Co are forward thinking enough to realize that the trenchless sewer lining approach is better for the customer and the environment.
Those two factors make it well worth the capital investment in new equipment and training. Sewer lining does not require the excavation of a large and destructive trench that runs the depth and entire length of the sewer pipeline. In some cases the sewer pipes that run underground from the structure to the main sewer line or septic tank can be hundreds of feet long. Stop for a minute and image your yard or grounds. What would it look like if a plumbing contractor excavated 150-foot long trench through the middle of it?
Would the trench destroy your lawn, driveway, walkway, sidewalk, patio, flowerbeds, trees, mulch beds, or parking lot in the case of a commercial or industrial building? With trenchless sewer lining that is no longer a concern. The procedure is non-invasive. In fact it does not require a trench, only a small access point at one end of the sewer pipeline. A high-tech machine installs a specially formulated epoxy resin to the interior surfaces of the existing sewer pipeline through the access point. Once the epoxy resin cures in place a hard yet flexible pipe liner or pipe within a pipe is formed.
The new liner seals any chips, cracks, breaks, broken spots, and rotten spots within the existing sewer pipeline. It also prevents future problems from occurring. The new liner will last for a minimum of fifty plus years, and only takes as little as one day to install from start to finish. Perhaps the best aspect of sewer lining is that it is approximately fifty percent more cost effective than the traditional excavation method.
